Can capturing every possible views of a place even if you’re not part of the picture be considered growing up? This is the first time since I’ve started wandering that I’ve thought of just taking the views regardless if I’m in there or not. It’s no longer about me in places….but the places I’ve been and the people I’m with. Well, you might see less of me on my travel pictures soon…it’ll be more of the views…and the smiles of the people I’m with. It’s not an easy decision but a wanderer has to make some sacrifices too, right? This is mine.
So I’ve been out of the Philippines for about 2 months now…and realized I’m really just overacting when I thought it would feel like forever. Thinking it wouldn’t be easy to change routines and be away from people I draw my strength from. Fearing the new companions and the changes I have to do to to be comfortable with everything. Well, I maybe am underestimating myself…because everyday, I can’t be thankful enough for all the things I have here.
Last June 22, with a less than a week preparation, Tita Susan took us to our first out of Georgia state trip. Yay! Hello Tennessee. It was about 2 hours drive and I’ve been awake for the entire time hoping to capture some views. Unfortunately, I wasn’t on the window seat. Arrived in Ruby Falls around 11 AM, the ticket cost 17.95$ tax excluded. We spent 18.50$ in all.
We thought of dropping by at Rock City too but decided Ruby Falls was enough. To kill some more time, we went to the river around Tennessee Aquarium and took some more memories. Tita then treat us ice creams and splits at Coldstone after. We enjoyed chatting over the delicious dessert.
See the fun I had in the following collages.
